third presidential debate

The debate does not meet academic standards for arguments – no concrete conclusion was arrived at. Both speakers-candidates were essentially discussing only their economic plans on how to recover from the economic slump- however, the Moderator failed to let the speakers come up to concrete conclusion, in black and white, so to speak, as whose economic plans was better. In other words, judgment on whose economic plans was better (reasonable) was left for the audience to decide.

charter change

I am for charter change. Nothing stays the same and only change is constant. There are provisions in our Constitution which does not anymore address the present conditions. For instance, the provisions restricting ownership of land to Filipino citizens only should be reviewed for it is restricting business and growth of our economy. Present conditions, globalization of businesses makes it undeniable fact that we must address the present constitutional restrictions so we will not be left behind by our neighbouring countries. Vietnam and Thailand economies’ are doing better than ours as they have passed laws relaxing ownership of land by non-citizens.
